چکیده
Herein, the recycled magnetite obtained from industrial ferrous scrap was used as an eco-friendly, sustainable iron source in photo-Fenton degradation of carbamazepine (CBZ), emerging contaminant aqueous environment. Citrate a robust chelating agent to trap and stabilize required for Fenton reaction. The results proved formation Fe(III)-citrate complex, followed by reduction Fe(II) harmless molecules such malonate under UV radiation. adopted process presence (0.3 g/L), H2O2 (0.5 mM), citrate (0.1 mM) led about 77 % CBZ. Then, efficiency improved 99 increasing prior contact time between magnetite. In addition, 1 mM 2 were found be optimal values CBZ process. Eventually, experiments illustrated that could five successive cycles without losing its efficiency.

Oxidation of TNT by photo-Fenton process.
A series of photo-Fenton reactions have been performed for the degradation of 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) in a 4.2-l reactor. The degradation reaction rate of TNT followed a pseudo-first-order behavior; and the rate constants for 2.4mW cm(-2)UV only, 2.4mW cm(-2)UV/H(2)O(2), Fenton, photo-Fenton (2.4mW cm(-2)) and photo-Fenton (4.7mW cm(-2)) were 0.002min(-1), 0.007min(-1), 0.014min(-1), 0.025m...
متن کاملComparative Study of Oxidation of Some Azo Dyes by Different Advanced Oxidation Processes: Fenton, Fenton-Like, Photo-Fenton and Photo-Fenton-Like
This study makes a comparison between Fenton, Fenton-like, photo-Fenton and photo-Fenton-like treatment methods to investigate the removal of two acid dyes. The two selected acid dyes are C.I. Acid Orange 8 (AO8) and C.I. Acid Red 17 (AR17). These were chosen as model organic contaminants. The effect of operating parameters, such as amount of Fenton’s reagent (H2O2 and Fe) and Fenton’s-like rea...
متن کاملLandfill Leachate Treatment through Electro-Fenton Oxidation
Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) have been employed to degrade biorefractory organic matters. This study investigates the combination of classical Fenton reaction with electrochemical oxidation, the electro-Fenton process, for the treatment of semi aerobic landfill leachate, collected from Pulau Burung Landfill Site (PBLS), Penang, Malaysia. The investigation has been carried out in batch re...
